For the first time in the history of the Clear Branch Community, Clear Branch Baptist Church and Brown Hill Missionary Baptist Church held a joint VBS during the week of June 1st - 6th. Rev. Raymond Jeffcoat of Clear Branch and Rev. James Washington of Brown Hill agree that in order to reach the area for Christ, Christians must put aside cultural and racial differences and work together. The event used the Clear Branch facilities, but teachers, workers, and children came from both congregations as well as the community. Over 130 people were in attendance. Everyone feels it was a great success.

Lay Renewal

Dear Church Family,

"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." ~ Philippians 1:3-6

God has indeed begun a good work in Clear Branch Baptist Church. God showed up at our Lay Renewal Weekend in an incredible way. Should we have been surprised? We asked Him to! We saw marriages strengthened, relationships mended, quiet times begun, spiritual prisoners set free, and five souls give their lives to Christ. Our love for Jesus has been rekindled. And it's only begun. God shows up when we ask Him to. Let's continue asking Him to be the center of our lives and our worship times.

Welcome to Clear Branch Baptist Church’s spot on the World Wide Web! We’re glad you stopped to see us. Our spot on the map is 276 Clear Branch Road; Florence, MS. Florence is located just south of the capital city of Jackson.

Though seven miles from town, the Clear Branch Community is far from isolated. According to the 2006 census report, there are approximately 4500 people living in a five mile radius of our facilities. Though many of our members live within our community, quite a few come from other parts of the county to worship with us.

We have two choirs, a drama team, monthly luncheons for our senior citizens, GA’s, RA’s, ladies’ prayer/Bible Study, Men on Mission, Sunday School classes for all ages, children's activites, youth activities, and family nights. Our worship services are a blend of traditional and contemporary music, so there is something for everyone.
